RESIDENTS of Batadbatad are in for some good news as P75 million has been set aside from various funding agencies for the continuation of the Batadbatad to Argao road this year, a vital link that would connect the two first class municipalities.
Of the total amount, P20 million is taken from the 20 percent development fund of the Moalboal LGU, another P15 million will be funded by a financial assistance from Cebu Province, while P40 million will be funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
“Kabalo ko dugay na ga-antos ang taga Batadbatad sa ilang dalan, mao ato gyud ni’g gitutukan ug gipangita-an solusyon,” said Mayor Inocentes G. Cabaron.
The P75 million road concreting project in Batadbatad is just one of the major road concreting programs for the Upland barangays this year. Earlier last month, the Department of Agriculture announced it has set aside P35 million for farm to market roads in Bugho, Lanao and Bala.
Other road projects funded for 2026 are the Batadbatad to Agbalanga road, Sitio Kalamungay, Batadbatad, road to the evacuation center in Bugho, Buguil-Manga road, Tomonoy-Agbalanga, Sitio Lower Purok Saging, Lanao, Sitio Omay, Busay, and Sitio Bangus-Sitio Paramayon 2.
Funding has also been allocated for the repair of the fish market as well as the road in front of the market.
Details of the projects will be posted once available.
