he Local Government Unit of Moalboal is partnering with Jollibee Moalboal Drive Thru and Project ROKI (Roots of Kindness) for a tree-planting activity dubbed “Tree Planting: An Act of Kindness” on February 10, 2026, as part of the “1/25 Acts of Kindness” campaign to promote environmental stewardship and civic engagement in the municipality. Assembly is set at 9:30 a.m. at the Moalboal Extension Room, where LGU officials, MENRO officers, barangay leaders, and Jollibee’s “Kindness Teams” will convene before proceeding to the planting site from Barangay Busay to Barangay Agbalanga. A total of 500 high-quality Molave and Narra seedlings will be planted to help build a more resilient and greener Moalboal for future generations.
The program will open with prayers and welcome remarks, followed by an overview of the “1/25 Acts of Kindness” campaign and a keynote message from the Municipal Mayor formally accepting the project on behalf of the LGU. MENRO and Agriculture personnel will provide a technical briefing on proper planting techniques and the ecological value of native trees, then lead a ceremonial first planting with local officials and team leaders. Volunteers will be organized into “Kindness Teams” to conduct simultaneous planting across designated areas, observing proper spacing and care standards to support high survival rates.
Anchored on a strong environmental ethic, the activity will implement a Zero-Waste Policy by ensuring all plastic sleeves and related materials are collected and turned over for proper disposal through the LGU’s waste management and transport services. Project ROKI has committed to a “98% survival” standard, including replacement planting within six months for any seedlings that fail and regular monitoring of tree growth as part of its long-term stewardship pledge. To promote transparency and sustained collaboration, the proponent will submit quarterly Project ROI Reports to the Municipality of Moalboal detailing survival rates, maintenance activities, and the project’s contribution to local sustainability efforts.
