Moalboal Mayor Inocentes “Titing” G. Cabaron credited Moalboalanons as the true driving force behind the municipality’s growing reputation as a premier tourism destination, emphasizing that local residents’ hospitality, discipline, and community spirit are what keep visitors coming back. He said that while investments in infrastructure, environmental protection, and marketing are important, it is the daily efforts of business owners, workers, volunteers, and ordinary citizens that give Moalboal its distinct charm and identity.
The mayor highlighted how local initiatives in environmental stewardship, safety, and cultural preservation directly support tourism, from maintaining clean coastlines and public spaces to protecting marine resources and showcasing local products and traditions. He called on Moalboalanons to remain responsible stewards of the town’s natural and cultural assets, reminding everyone that sustainable tourism can only be achieved when the community continues to work together and places long‑term public welfare above short‑term gains.
Mayor Cabaron also reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to support tourism‑related livelihoods through better infrastructure, fair regulation, and stronger partnerships with people’s organizations, youth groups, and the private sector. He said the municipal government will continue to prioritize programs that uplift local workers and entrepreneurs in the tourism value chain, ensuring that the benefits of Moalboal’s tourism growth are felt by families in all barangays.
