The Municipal Government of Moalboal proudly announces its citation as one of Cebu’s Highly Functional Local Government Units (LGUs), as reflected in the recent acknowledgment issued by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Visayas.
In the published list of “Highly Functional LGUs – Cebu,” Moalboal appears alongside selected municipalities that met DILG’s performance standards in local governance, administration, and delivery of basic services. This recognition affirms the town’s continuing efforts to maintain responsive, transparent, and accountable governance in partnership with the national government and the people of Moalboal.
Mayor Inocentes G. Cabaron expressed his gratitude to DILG, the Sangguniang Bayan, barangay officials, and all municipal employees, stressing that the recognition is a product of teamwork and consistent adherence to mandated policies and programs. He also dedicated the achievement to the people of Moalboal, noting that the LGU’s reforms, innovations, and disciplined implementation of programs are all aimed at improving the quality of life of every resident.
The municipal government vows to build on this milestone by further strengthening its initiatives in tourism management, environmental protection, social services, disaster preparedness, and infrastructure development. Moalboal likewise reiterates its commitment to uphold good local governance and to pursue programs that will sustain inclusive growth and community resilience in the years ahead.
