The Municipal Government of Moalboal is set to further intensify its dog catching operations with the launch of a strengthened CNVR (Capture, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) program in the second week of May, with full backing from the Cebu Provincial Government. This initiative builds on the town’s ongoing rabies-prevention efforts and its commitment to improve dog pound management and stray population control in coordination with the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian and the Provincial Animal Welfare Council.
The upcoming CNVR rollout will offer expanded free spay–neuter and anti-rabies vaccination services for both owned and impounded dogs, in partnership with the Provincial Veterinary Office, Municipal Agricultural Office, volunteer veterinarians, and animal welfare advocates. Residents are urged to register and vaccinate their pets, keep them from roaming on public roads, and cooperate with dog-catching and impounding operations to help reduce stray-related accidents and support Moalboal’s long-term goal of becoming a rabies-free community.
