The Municipality of Moalboal, represented by Ms. Lyka Charissa Sabanal of the Municipal Agriculture Office, participated in the Provincial Livestock and Veterinary Program Conference which gathered veterinarians, agriculture officers, and government agencies across the province to address key concerns in the livestock and animal health sector. The conference served as a vital platform for collaboration, exchange of best practices, and alignment of local and provincial initiatives toward agricultural development.
The discussions highlighted major areas of focus including Livestock Production and Development, biosecurity and disease control against African Swine Fever (ASF) and Avian Influenza, and the implementation of vaccination programs such as the Anti-Rabies Campaign “Serbisyo Karaban.” The conference also underscored the importance of Food Safety and Public Health, ensuring that meat and animal products remain safe, clean, and of high quality for consumers.
Through active participation in this province-wide initiative, Moalboal reaffirms its commitment to advancing animal health, supporting local farmers, and promoting food security. The municipal government continues to uphold its vision of a resilient and progressive agricultural sector—one that sustains livelihoods, protects communities, and contributes to the overall well-being of the people of Cebu Province.
