Mayor Inocentes Cabaron represented the Municipality of Moalboal at the 2026 General Assembly of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP), gathering municipal mayors from across the country to discuss key issues on good governance, local economic growth, and sustainable development. The annual assembly serves as a platform for municipal leaders to align local priorities with national directions, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration among local government units (LGUs).
During the sessions, participating mayors were briefed on policy reforms, national government programs, and emerging governance tools designed to improve service delivery at the municipal level. Discussions highlighted the crucial role of municipalities as frontliners in addressing community needs, promoting transparency and accountability, and advancing long-term development in their localities.
Mayor Cabaron expressed his full support for initiatives that enhance local capacity in areas such as digitalization of services, disaster resilience, and inclusive growth, noting that these reforms are vital for a fast-growing tourism municipality like Moalboal. He also emphasized the importance of continued partnership between the national government and LGUs to ensure that programs and resources directly benefit grassroots communities.
“The insights and commitments forged in this assembly will help us further improve our programs in Moalboal and ensure that progress is felt by our barangays and sectors on the ground,” Mayor Cabaron said, underscoring his administration’s thrust of responsive and participatory governance.
