In a united effort led by Mayor Inocentes G. Cabaron, key sectors of Moalboal convened to finalize preparations for the Holy Week break. The coordination meeting gathered the PNP, BFP, religious sector, MHO, MDRRMO, and LGU offices to ensure a peaceful, orderly, and spiritually meaningful week for residents and visitors.
Mayor Cabaron underscored that Holy Week is both a sacred tradition and a significant period for Moalboal, a popular tourist destination during the annual break. He emphasized coordinated action, public safety, and compassion, especially with the expected influx of people in churches, coastal zones, and tourist areas. Key safety measures include enhanced security and traffic management by the PNP, standby fire and rescue units from the BFP and MDRRMO, medical response readiness by the MHO, and logistical and sanitation support from LGU departments.
“Holy Week calls us to reflect, to serve, and to protect,” Mayor Cabaron said. “With our united sectors and dedicated personnel, Moalboal stands fully prepared.” The LGU urges everyone to observe safety reminders, respect religious activities, and cooperate with authorities for a safe and meaningful Holy Week celebration.
