Even Typhoon Basyang could not stop love from shining in Moalboal. In the days following the storm, as the town worked together to recover, 18 beautiful couples stood before their community and said “I do”—turning a challenging week into a celebration of hope, unity, and new beginnings.
The Kasalang Bayan became more than a ceremony.
It became a reminder that love is Moalboal’s strongest force—capable of rising above winds, rain, and uncertainty.
Thanks to the unwavering dedication of the Working Committee, partner agencies, and volunteers, every detail of the event pushed through smoothly. Their commitment showed that public service, like true love, continues even after the storm.
To our newlyweds:
Your vows brought light to our community when we needed it most.
Your courage to celebrate love after a typhoon reflects the spirit of Moalboal—resilient, hopeful, and always ready to move forward together.
Congratulations to the 18 couples who proved that no storm can stop love. And you may also claim your free framed photos next week at the Office of the Mayor ❤️️
