As per Resolution No. 10 series of 2022 enacted by the honorable members of the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Moalboal, Pescador Island shall be TEMPORARILY CLOSED for a period of THREE (3) months. This is after Super Typhoon Odette severely affected the locality, including its Tourist attractions and enterprises.
In line with the Temporary Closure, various Aqua Sports Activities such as but not limited to diving, snorkeling, and island hopping shall not be allowed around Pescador Island within the indicated period.
Through this initiative, it is hoped that the disrupted underwater resources surrounding the island will revitalize and slowly regain its world-class beauty.
Nevertheless, other dive sites and beaches within the locality remain suitable for tourism activities and open for those who wish to experience the wonders of Moalboal.
