Representing Mayor Inocentes Cabaron, Municipal Secretary Atty. Nel Ediza joined fellow local chief executives across Cebu in a high-level consultation dialogue aimed at reinforcing the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and addressing persistent gaps in the Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI).
Held under the auspices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the forum spotlighted the critical role of LGUs in ensuring that 4Ps households transition smoothly toward self-sufficiency. 4Ps National Program Manager Gemma Gabuya led the discussion on the 4Ps Law and the “Pagtataguyod” strategy, emphasizing the importance of City and Municipal Action Plans in bridging SWDI gaps and empowering vulnerable families.
Moalboal’s active participation reflects its commitment to inclusive governance and its ongoing efforts to uplift families through responsive social protection. The dialogue reaffirmed the shared vision: that every Filipino family deserves the opportunity to thrive.
